Set in two parallel worlds, the series follows Emperor Lee Gon of the Kingdom of Corea. After discovering a portal to an alternate reality created by his half-uncle, Lee Lim, he finds the Republic of Korea existing in place of his kingdom. Determined to stop Lee Lim's crimes and reclaim the other half of the Manpasikjeok, the key to the portal between the worlds, Lee Gon embarks on a mission to restore balance.
